A 73-year-old pedestrian identified as Hai The Nguyen from Westminster was killed in a multi-vehicle pile-up involving eight cars in Garden Grove on Saturday evening, police said.
The crash occurred around 5:54 p.m. in the 12100 block of Lewis Street, near Chapman Avenue. Paramedics pronounced Hai The Nguyen dead at the scene, Garden Grove Police Sgt. Royce Wimmer said.
The details that led up to the collision were not immediately available, but police say they don’t believe drugs or alcohol were involved. An investigation is underway, police said.
