Three women stopped at a Cypress DUI checkpoint were injured after a suspected drunk driver crashed into their cars, according to a news report.
Cypress police had set up a DUI checkpoint near Valley View Street and Lincoln Avenue and the injured women were waiting in line when Eric Paul Ivanoff, 34, failed to stop and crashed into their vehicles. The three women were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Police arrested Ivanoff on suspicion of drunk driving and several other charges after he attempted to flee the scene.
