One person was killed and one badly injured following an Orange wrong-way crash that happened on the 241 toll road Thursday night.

According to police, a 72-year-old Gardena man was driving the wrong way on the 241 toll road when he collided with a 2006 Ford F-150 and a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro.

The fatal wrong-way crash occurred north of East Santiago Canyon Road at around 11:10 p.m. August 6, when the man was driving a 2010 Toyota Camry northbound in the southbound lanes and crashed into the two vehicles.

The Gardena man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, a 19-year-old Corona man, was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center with major injuries. Two passengers in his vehicle, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, both from Corona, were also transported to UCI for treatment.

The driver of the Camaro, a 19-year-old Riverside man, and his 23-year-old passenger were both uninjured.
