A man was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on Hamilton Avenue at Magnolia Street in Huntington Beach on Sunday night.
The Huntington Beach Police Department reports that the fatal motorcycle crash occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. A 61-year-old man on a blue Harley Davidson Softail entered the intersection while traveling eastbound. Subsequently, the Harley struck a BMW X3 turning onto Magnolia Street from westbound Hamilton Avenue.
Medical personnel responded to find the motorcyclist had suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The 82-year-old man driving the BMW reported no injuries in the crash and cooperated with police investigators.
At this time, impaired vision does not appear to have factored into the accident. However, an investigation into the circumstances should confirm the liabilities.
