Garden Grove Police Officer Han Cho was tragically struck and killed while riding home on his motorcycle Monday, August 7 in Anaheim.

The fatal motorcycle accident occurred at Euclid Street and Glenoaks Avenue in Anaheim.

Corporal Han Cho was rushed to UCI Medical Center where he tragically succumbed to his injuries at approximately 3 p.m. on the same day as the accident.

The off-duty police officer was riding a motorcycle when the bike and a silver Toyota Prius collided due to unknown circumstances. The car’s rear, driver’s side door had damage and the motorcyclist was thrown off the bike.

The driver of the Prius became trapped in their vehicle but was freed and taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Han Cho had been with the Garden Grove Police Department for 28 years and was assigned to the Neighborhood Traffic Unit.

Anaheim police are investigating the circumstances leading to the fatal motorcycle crash to determine fault and liability, but early indications are that DUI was not a factor for either of the motorists.
