The driver of one of two vehicles involved in a wrong-way crash died on the connector between the 55 and 5 freeways in Tustin early Sunday morning.
According to police, a white sedan had been spotted driving northbound on the southbound 55 freeway at 2:10 a.m.
Just four minutes later, a white Prius and Suburu Outback collided head-on while both were on the connector from the southbound 55 to the southbound 5 freeway.
The California Highway Patrol confirmed one person died in the crash and that one of the cars was driving the wrong way just prior to the fatal car crash.
