The Long Beach Police Department said that the two-car accident occurred on Artesia Boulevard at Myrtle Avenue. A 22-year-old Victorville woman was driving a Nissan Altima with four passengers when she collided with a Chevrolet Camaro driven by a 33-year-old Long Beach man. The impact sent the Nissan crashing into a light pole.
The injured girl from the Nissan was taken to a local hospital in critical condition with major head injuries. The driver and three other passengers in the Nissan were seriously injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment. The driver of the Camaro was not injured.
