A tractor trailer has struck and killed a female pedestrian in Huntington Beach, according to a news report.
Huntington Beach police said that the unidentified victim was run over by the big rig at the intersection of Springdale Street and Warner Avenue; she was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver did not stop at the time of the accident; the truck and the driver were found by officers searching the scene following the fatal accident. Investigators were questioning the driver to determine if he even knew he hit the female pedestrian.
