A 49-year-old Vista man was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident that happened on 22 Freeway in Orange on Thursday morning.
Police stated that the man was walking north across the eastbound lanes of 22 Freeway near Main Street at about 1 a.m. when he was hit by a Jeep Compass.
The man, who is yet to be identified, was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Jeep Compass was a 35-year-old man from Orange stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the authorities.
As of this writing the pedestrian accident is under investigation
