Aubrye Foote, 45, of Newport Beach was tragically struck by an SUV in Newport Beach and passed away in the hospital late Sunday night.
Authorities were notified of the accident on San Joaquin Hills Road, west of Newport Ridge Drive, at about 11:20 p.m. Saturday.
Foote had exited her vehicle in an attempt to help an injured bicyclist. She was then hit by an SUV and taken to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries the following evening.
The driver of the SUV that hit Foote waited for police to arrive, and cooperated with their investigation.
