Seventy-year-old Linda Smythe was struck and killed by a car whiled riding her bicycle on May 25 in Irvine.
The fatal bicycle accident occurred near Portola Parkway at approximately 10 a.m. on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Linda Smythe was riding a bicycle when a gray Mercedes ML350 hit her.
Tragically, Smythe was pronounced dead at the scene by the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of Mercedes remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The CHP is currently investigating the cause of the bicycle accident.
