A twenty-five year old Copperopolis, California woman was jogging with her ten year old niece when she was struck and killed by a motor vehicle. The young girl was not injured in the incident.

Amy Lynn Freeseha and her niece were jogging along the river in the early evening when Freehesa was struck from behind by an SUV that fled from the scene. Police identified the vehicle as a white Chevrolet Suburban model year 1997-99, by using parts left at the scene.

Concerned citizens should be on the lookout for a vehicle that matches that description, with damage to its right headlight and rearview mirror. Anyone with information on the hit and run SUV is asked to call Officer Rubin Perez at (209) 545-7440.
