Elizabeth Landess allegedly struck and killed a pedestrian on the Pacific Coast Highway and was charged with a felony DUI.
Landess is currently in custody following the alleged fatal car accident while the pedestrian in question, whose name has not yet been released, tragically passed away later from his injuries.
The tragic accident happened Sunday, September 20, 2020 just after midnight. First responders arrived in the 15900 block of Pacific Coast Highway and found an unresponsive adult male who had been struck by a vehicle. Officers immediately began lifesaving efforts; however, the pedestrian had tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The vehicle which allegedly struck the pedestrian was a grey, 2018 Ford Edge. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Elizabeth Landess, age 30 of Long Beach, California. Police arrested Landess for felony driving under the influence.
