Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach was blocked off at Wesley Drive shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday night following a suspected DUI crash that resulted in a fatality.
Twenty-seven-year-old Francisco Rojas from Murrieta in Riverside County was killed in a crash involving a suspected drunk driver in Laguna Beach, police said.
The two-vehicle crash involving a car and pick-up truck occurred at 8:55 p.m. near the Aliso Dip on the southern end of the city, the Laguna Police Department said in a tweet.
Rojas suffered catastrophic injuries and reportedly died at Mission Hospital in Laguna Beach. The driver of the other vehicle, Marshall Eichenauer, 57, of Laguna Beach, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
