According to police, the bicycle accident happened in the area of Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue at about 8:50 a.m.
The 74-year-old man and his 82-year-old wife were riding a tandem bike when they were struck by a 2005 Ford Explorer.
Police state that the two were seriously injured in the bicycle accident and were transported to a local hospital where the man tragically died while undergoing treatment.
