Jakayah Lassiter (24) of Long Beach was tragically killed and two men were injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash on the HOV connector road from the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Seal Beach.
According to police, the fatal car crash was reported at 3:27 a.m.
Lassiter was southbound in the HOV lane on the 605 Freeway just south of Katella Avenue in her 2007 Nissan Murano when the crash occurred with a 2015 Honda Accord driven by a Buena Park man.
Lassiter was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 70-year-old Buena Park man driving the Honda suffered multiple lacerations and the 32-year-old Huntington Beach man in the car suffered multiple fractures and lacerations. Both were taken to Long Beach Memorial Hospital by paramedics.
