Forty-nine-year-old Juan Martinez Hernandez died Tuesday after he and another man were struck by a pickup truck outside Home Depot in Costa Mesa.
Costa Mesa police responded to the fatal pedestrian accident just before noon after the two pedestrians had been struck in the parking lot near a lumber area.
Both men were rushed to a hospital, where Hernandez was tragically pronounced dead.
Details about the second man’s injuries were not disclosed although a city official said they were non-life threatening.
