A 48-year-old man was struck by a car and killed in a Huntington Beach pedestrian accident while he was attempting to cross Beach Boulevard, according to a news report.
Huntington Beach police said that Marcos Stead was struck by a BMW X5 SUV while he was crossing Beach Boulevard between Edinger Avenue and Stark Drive. Paramedics worked to revive Stead, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said that the driver of the BMW X5 was a 52-year-old Huntington Beach woman, who pulled over and called police following the accident. Authorities are investigating the pedestrian accident, and said they did not know if Stead was in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
