Melina Sierra Martinez (30) was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle while she was crossing First Street in Santa Ana on the morning of January 15.
According to police, Martinez was fatally struck by a westbound driver at approximately 5:55 am near the Iglesia de Cristo OC church just west of Fairview Street.
Paramedics with the Orange County Fire Authority also responded and pronounced Martinez dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the fatal pedestrian accident stopped and cooperated with police officers’ investigation.
