Chanel Garcia, who was injured in a motorcycle accident in Huntington Beach, tragically died in a hospital on Friday morning, June 4.
Huntington Beach police reported that Garcia was riding a motorcycle south at Beach Boulevard, just north of Liberty Drive, on Monday night.
Police were called before 6 pm and found seriously injured.
Christopher Johnston, 26, of Costa Mesa, an SUV driver, stayed on the scene of the motorcycle accident and helped police. He was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
Police are still investigating the crash, and it is not yet known if Johnston had been charged with additional charges after Garcia’s death.
