In a tragic turn of events, a multi-vehicle collision in Fullerton has claimed the life of one individual and left three others injured. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Monday at the crossroads of Orange Thorpe Avenue and Harbor Boulevard. The collision involved three vehicles: a BMW, a black Chevrolet Silverado, and a blue Toyota RAV4, as reported by Fullerton police.
From the Toyota RAV4, a 62-year-old woman from Anaheim was pronounced deceased at the accident site, while the 22-year-old driver and individuals from the other cars involved were transported to the hospital for treatment. The investigation into the exact cause of the crash is ongoing, with authorities considering excessive speed and the potential influence of substances by the driver of the BMW as contributing factors.
According to the initial findings by the police, the southbound BMW 428i in the first lane struck the Toyota RAV4 from behind as it was stationary at a red traffic signal. The impact led to a subsequent collision with the Chevrolet Silverado, which was also halted at the same traffic light in the adjacent lane.
