WEST ADAMS, CA (April 15, 2024) — A tragic high-speed hit-and-run occurred on Adams Boulevard near Harcourt Avenue late Thursday night, claiming the life of 37-year-old Leonardo Paloma.
The Los Angeles Police Department reports that the incident, involving two vehicles, happened around 11:30 p.m. One vehicle, driven at a high rate of speed, collided with another vehicle containing Leonardo Paloma. The driver of the speeding car fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, based on witness accounts.
Upon arrival at the crash site, officers and paramedics found Paloma critically injured. Despite the efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the deceased.
Authorities are actively seeking the public’s assistance to locate the driver responsible for the devastating event. Anyone with pertinent information is urged to come forward and contact the LAPD.
