VALENCIA, CA (March 15, 2024) — A significant traffic disruption occurred on the 5 Freeway near Magic Mountain Parkway after a multi-vehicle accident resulted in an overturned car. The incident took place around 8:55 a.m. on Wednesday.
Reports from the Los Angeles County Fire Department noted that at least three vehicles were involved in the collision under conditions that have yet to be clarified. One of the cars involved ended up overturned, although no individuals were reported trapped inside.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the emergency alongside paramedic teams. Traffic was affected due to the CHP issuing a SigAlert, leading to the closure of the No. 1 and 2 lanes for approximately two hours to manage the incident and investigation.
