In Van Nuys late Friday night, a high-speed vehicle crash resulted in significant injuries to three individuals. The incident, which occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Saticoy Street east of Sepulveda Boulevard, involved a vehicle that lost control and collided with a Subway restaurant before impacting a residential property nearby.
According to the authorities, the vehicle smashed through the restaurant’s outdoor seating arrangement and then collided with a parked BMW sedan. The colliding vehicle overturned, ultimately coming to rest atop three other cars in a driveway adjacent to the Subway. The force of the collision caused extensive damage to the establishment and the surrounding area.
Sky5 aerial footage captured shortly after the incident revealed a substantial gathering of onlookers outside the distressed home and the associated debris field stemming from the catastrophic event.
Emergency response teams transported two teenagers, among the injured, to a local hospital, where they are currently listed in critical condition. The condition and identity of the third victim have not been disclosed.
