Van Nuys, CA – A residential neighborhood in Van Nuys was rocked by a dramatic car crash on Friday night, according to local authorities. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) was summoned to a chaotic scene in the 15300 block of Saticoy Street at around 10:34 PM.
LAPD officials discovered upon arrival that a vehicle had veered off the road, striking a public seating area in front of a Subway restaurant before wreaking havoc on several parked cars and ultimately crashing into a residential front yard.
Eyewitness accounts suggest the driver of the car, a teenager, was forcibly ejected from the vehicle during the incident. The extent of the driver’s injuries has not been disclosed by the authorities.
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) dispatched paramedics to the scene, who subsequently transported three individuals to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Nicholas Prange, a representative for the LAFD, reported that two of the patients were in non-critical condition at the time of transport. The condition of the third patient remains undetermined.
The cause of the incident is currently under investigation by the LAPD. Further details about the circumstances leading up to the crash or the identities of those involved have not yet been made publicly available.
