ANTELOPE VALLEY, California – A significant collision between two vehicles occurred Friday morning at the intersection of West Avenue K and 90th Street West in Lancaster, resulting in one vehicle overturning.
The incident was reported at approximately 6:53 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. At this intersection, noted for its stop signs governing access to West Avenue K, motorists on the main road typically have priority.
One of the vehicles, a Dodge pickup truck, sustained considerable front-end damage while the other, a GMC Yukon, ended up overturned, resting on its roof. The directions in which the drivers were traveling at the time of the crash have yet to be disclosed by authorities.
Emergency medical services, including paramedics, attended the scene. The current state of the occupants and whether any hospitalizations ensued as a result of the crash have not been confirmed.
The damaged vehicles were subsequently cleared from the location by tow truck operators. The Dodge left with its extensive frontal wreckage and the GMC with damage all around.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has taken charge of the ongoing investigation to determine the responsibilities regarding the car accident in Lancaster.
