March 11, 2024 – Santiago Canyon Road, California
Two men have died following a head-on collision on Santiago Canyon Road late Saturday evening. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a possible influence of alcohol is being considered as a contributing factor to the fatal incident.
The collision took place around 9:00 p.m. west of Limestone Spur Road. It involved a 2018 Ford operated by a 34-year-old man from La Habra, and a 1993 Toyota driven by a 42-year-old male from Santa Ana. Authorities confirmed that both drivers were the single occupants of their vehicles.
Upon the arrival of emergency services, the La Habra man was found deceased at the scene. The driver from Santa Ana was transported to Orange County Global Medical Center, where he later died due to injuries sustained in the crash.
CHP is actively investigating the crash further to determine the specifics of the event, including any additional contributing factors. As of this report, no further details have been made available, and attempts to obtain comments from the CHP spokesperson on Sunday were not fruitful.
