On the early morning of April 15, 2024, a tragic multi-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Orangethorpe Ave. and Harbor Blvd. in Fullerton, California. Authorities were alerted to the disaster at exactly 12:11 AM and swiftly dispatched Fullerton Police Department officers to the scene.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement and emergency respondents found three heavily damaged vehicles: a white BMW 428i, a black Chevrolet Silverado, and a blue Toyota Rav 4. These vehicles had collided with each other under circumstances that are currently being investigated.
The scene was attended to by the Fullerton Fire Department, which found the passenger of the Toyota Rav 4, a 62-year-old Anaheim resident, who had succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and was declared deceased on-site.
The examination of the initial facts determined that the BMW 428i, driven by a 25-year-old from Anaheim, was heading southbound when it impacted the Toyota Rav 4 from behind, as the latter was stationary at a red traffic signal. The force of the collision caused the BMW to veer off and collide with the Chevrolet Silverado, which was also waiting at the signal in an adjacent lane.
