A deadly multi-vehicle crash on the 405 Freeway in Fountain Valley, Orange County occurred late Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) a family of five were stopped in a minivan in the HOV lane when it was rear-ended by another car which in turn was also hit from behind.
The fatal car crash happened near Euclid Street just before 11 p.m..
The CHP stated that one person died and several others were hurt, including one person who was rushed to a hospital with major injuries.
