Eighty-seven-year-old pedestrian, George Stryker, was tragically hit by a vehicle and killed over the weekend in Newport Beach.
George Stryker, a resident of Newport Beach, was struck by the vehicle at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Saturday while crossing the street near the Newport Beach corner of MacArthur Boulevard and San Miguel Drive. Stryker sadly died at the scene before emergency personnel could get him to a hospital.
Newport Beach police are yet to release additional details surrounding the lethal pedestrian accident, including what type of vehicle it was, whether it was speeding or if Stryker was in a crosswalk when he was hit.
No arrests have been made in connection with the collision.
