Forty-nine-year-old John Diaz was tragically struck and killed by a pickup truck Friday night, Dec. 30 in Huntington Beach.
According to police, John Diaz was a Huntington Beach resident.
The fatal pedestrian accident was reported at approximately 6:50 p.m. Friday on Slater Avenue, west of Keelson Lane.
The 22-year-old man driving the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Impairment did not appear to be a factor for the driver.
