A Huntington Beach police officer struck and killed a pedestrian while responding to a call early Saturday morning on August 27, 2022.
It was at approximately 5:30 a.m. when the police officer responding to a radio call on North Pacific Avenue near Broadway in Sunset Beach fatally struck a pedestrian.
The victim was transported to UCI Medical Center where he tragically succumbed to his injuries from the crash.
The city of Huntington Beach has requested the California Highway Patrol (CHP) lead an investigation into what happened to cause the fatal pedestrian accident.
