Cypress police are looking for the family or friends of a 50-year-old Santa Ana man who died of injuries sustained in an Aug. 19 pedestrian accident, according to a news report.

Michael Allen Cyr died at UCI Medical Center in Orange from head injuries he suffered after being struck by a car on Aug. 19 in Cypress.  He was crossing an intersection at Katella Ave. and Meridian Dr. when he was hit.  Cypress police said they found him unconscious in the intersection, suffering from significant head and torso injuries.

According to Cypress police, the driver stopped and has been cooperative with the investigation.  Authorities are now trying to find Cyr’s family or friends, since he was unable to communicate with hospital officials.   Cyr was believed to be a transient who stayed in the Cypress area.
