A security guard for Laguna Woods Village has been identified as the driver responsible for a pedestrian fatality there, according to a news report.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department said that Craig Vann, 45, of Los Angeles, was killed when he was crossing Moulton Parkway near El Toro Road on August 8.  Investigators said they have identified an on-duty security guard driving a marked Laguna Woods Village truck as the person who struck Vann, but have not yet released the guard’s name.
