Three people were killed, one of whom was a 10-year-old girl, in a suspected DUI crash involving a passenger van in Placentia.
According to police, the deadly two-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, January 25 at the intersection of Orangethorpe Avenue and Melrose Street.
Police arrived to find two people dead at the scene of the fatal car crash. They were reportedly ejected from the vehicle.
Tragically, the child, who has not been identified, died at the hospital. The two other fatal victims were adults.
Four other people were also injured, some of whom are in critical condition.
The victims were all in the passenger van. A witness said they were part of a church group coming back from an event.
Police have stated that the man driving the other vehicle involved in the crash may have run a red light. Reportedly, the man is from Santa Ana and was arrested for felony DUI.
