A 32-year-old woman was tragically killed after an alleged hit-and-run collision along E Street early Tuesday in San Bernadino.
According to reports police the fatal pedestrian accident occurred on July 7 shortly before 2:30 a.m. when the yet to be identified 32-year-old woman was walking southbound in the 1500 block of North E Street. For an unknown reason, a vehicle headed in the same direction then struck her.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found the female pedestrian left lying on the road and suffering from critical injuries as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel immediately took the victim to a local hospital where she later died. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and then took off. The tragic incident remains under investigation.
