Two male teenagers have been killed and another person was injured in a Huntington Beach car accident, according to a news report.
Huntington Beach police said that officers responding to a call of a car crash at Warner Avenue and Algonquin Street found two male teenagers dead inside a 1997 Buick LeSabre that had crashed into a light pole.
The victims were identified as the driver, Joshua Holmsen, 18, of Huntington Beach, and a passenger, 18-year-old Austin Mitchell. A third male was found outside the car, and police said it wasn’t clear if he had been a pedestrian who was hit or an occupant of the car who was ejected. The unidentified male was taken to UCI Medical Center in critical condition.
The cause of the fatal car accident is under investigation. Police said it appeared that speed was a factor in the deadly crash.
