Two Phoenix women have died and four others were injured in a two-car collision on westbound Loop 202, according to a news report.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said that a Ford SUV driven by 19-year-old Flor Idalia Yanez-Holguin of Phoenix was stopped in the HOV lane on westbound Loop 202 near 44^th Street because of a flat tire.  Yanez-Holguin exited the SUV to direct traffic around it when a Toyota pickup driven by Oscar Lopez, 40, of Litchfield Park, hit the Ford SUV, flipping it over onto its roof.

Two women in the Ford SUV – Josefina Holguin-Urquiza, 42, and Silvia Mistica Rivera Holguin, 19 – were pronounced dead at the scene.  Other passengers in the Ford SUV included a 12-year-old and a toddler, who were taken to Maricopa Medical Center with severe injuries, and a 14-year-old who was taken to Phoenix Children’s Hospital with severe injuries.
