A 7-year-old boy, Vershad Raggins from Fontana, died in a two-vehicle collision in Orange County on the 241 Toll Road south of Anaheim Hills on Sunday, Aug. 25.  The fatal car crash also left four other people hospitalized.

The car crash happened at approximately 1:30 p.m. when a black sedan carrying a family of five and a white van occupied only by the driver collided on the toll road near Windy Ridge Road, south of the 91 Freeway and southeast of Anaheim Hills.

Raggins was airlifted from the scene to Children’s Hospital of Orange County but was tragically pronounced dead at 2:41 p.m.

The four other people hurt in the collision were transported via ambulance to local trauma centers. Details regarding the severity of their injuries and the circumstances leading up to the crash are still under investigation.
