Three people were tragically killed in a car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach early Thursday morning.
The fatal car crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. when a Tesla Model S struck a curb and then slammed into nearby roadwork equipment.
The three people in the car all died from their injuries. They were identified as Crystal M. McCallum, 34, of Texas; Wayne Walter Swanson Jr., 40, of Newport Coast; and Andrew James Chaves, 32, of Arizona.
Three construction workers also suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital.
