A 67-year-old man was fatally injured when he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle Saturday morning in Santa Ana.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the fatal bicycle accident happened at approximately 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bristol Street and Edinger Avenue. The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Police believe the man was riding his bicycle southbound on Bristol through the intersection with Edinger when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Edinger. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
