The California Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who struck and killed a 57-year-old Laguna Niguel woman and fled the scene, according to a news report.

Hyun Sheen was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened on northbound I-5 just south of Lake Forest Drive.

According to the CHP, Sheen struck the center divider, crossed all lanes and came to rest on the right shoulder of the freeway after hitting a chain link fence.  Sheen then exited her car and staggered into traffic, where she was hit by an unknown vehicle whose owner did not remain at the scene as required by California law.  The CHP is canvassing auto repair shops and asking the public for assistance in locating the hit-and-run driver, saying that driver’s vehicle likely has damage to its front bumper, hood and windshield.
