The grandson of Robert Schuller — Timothy Milner, 22, of Orange — and his fiancée have been seriously injured on the 55 freeway in Santa Ana, according to a news report.

The California Highway Patrol said that Milner and his fiancée, 23-year-old Breeann Parsons, were in a two-seat Smart Car in the slow lane of the northbound 55 freeway when a Honda Accord crashed into the back of their car.

Milner was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana with traumatic injuries. Parsons also sustained traumatic injuries and was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange.  The Honda driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  Police said they do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

Milner is the grandson of the late Robert H. Schuller, founder of Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove.  Milner’s mother is Schuller’s daughter, Carol Schuller-Milner.
