Joseph Zupkofska was a forty five year old Coast Guard veteran, a newly-minted corrections officer and an avid triathlete. He and his wife Laurie were well-respected members of their Weymouth, Massachusetts community; they volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program, delivering meals to elderly shut-ins, and helping to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy every year.
