A 21-year-old man has died in a Fullerton motorcycle accident after his bike collided with a car attempting to make a turn in front of it.

According to the Fullerton Police Department, officers responded to a call of a motorcyclist down on Orangethorpe Avenue and South Courtney Avenue. Responding officers performed CPR on the man, who was then taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Investigators said that the motorcyclist was riding east on Orangethorpe Avenue when a 2018 Honda Civic tried to make a left turn onto Orangethorpe from Courtney. The Honda collided with the motorcycle, causing the victim to be ejected and land in the street.

The Honda driver — identified as a 21-year-old woman — stayed at the scene and was not injured. Police said it did not appear that alcohol or drugs were factors in the fatal motorcycle crash. The investigation is ongoing.
