A 31-year-old Mission Viejo man riding a motorcycle in Huntington Beach was killed following a collision with a pickup truck on Wednesday, September 26.
Huntington Beach police officers pulled up to the intersection of Slater Avenue and Morgan Lane at approximately 5:13 p.m. to find a tragic scene. Beneath a severely damaged 2014 Chevrolet Silverado lay a crumpled 2008 red Ducati motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was found lying unresponsive nearby where he would tragically be pronounced dead.
The driver of the Silverado pickup truck, a 71-year-old man from Huntington Beach, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
