A 30-year-old Oregon woman who had just flown into Ontario to visit her cousin was killed in a head-on car accident in Rancho Cucamonga, according to a news report.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said that Amanda Kristina Polopolus was a passenger in a Ford Taurus driven by her 28-year-old cousin from Hesperia when it crashed head-on with a Ford F250 pickup truck on Arrow Route in Rancho Cucamonga. Polopolus was ejected from the car and died at the scene.

The pickup truck driver — a 52-year-old Phelan woman — and a child in her vehicle were not injured. The Hesperia woman and her 4-year-old daughter were taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center as a precaution. An investigation into the fatal collision is underway.
