A 41-year-old Palos Verdes man was injured after he was pinned against a minivan in a Costa Mesa parking lot, according to a news report.

Costa Mesa police said that a Toyota Camry driven by an 81-year-old Santa Ana woman crashed into several vehicles in the Mitsuwa Marketplace parking lot in the 600 block of Paularino before bouncing off a parked truck and hitting a delivery man, pinning him against a minivan.  After he was freed by firefighters and police, the unidentified victim was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana for treatment of major trauma to his left leg.

Officials interviewed the driver at the scene and she was released; investigators said they do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the pedestrian accident.
