Nineteen-year-old Josselyn Jazmine Anguiano of Santa Ana was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter for her participation in a car crash in Tustin that led to the deaths of two teenagers, one of whom was her brother.

This arraignment is in addition to a felony charge of child endangerment by caretaker filed against her on Nov. 27. She also faces sentencing enhancements for causing great bodily injury to four victims.

Anguiano, who could face up to 10 years in prison, posted bail on Nov. 29.

The accident happened in the early hours of March 23 when Anguiano lost control of the Infiniti M37 she was driving at speeds of around 75 mph, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. According to prosecutors, the posted speed limit on Legacy Road where the crash occurred was 35 mph. They added that the car hit a curb  before slamming into multiple poles and flipping onto its side.

There were six passengers in the car. All were students at Century High School in Santa Ana.

Seventeen-year-old Pedro Fuentes and the defendant’s brother, 17-year-old Jason Anguiano, were both killed in the crash. Two other passengers were injured, including one who suffered a broken jaw and another whose pelvis was fractured.
