Two people have been killed after their truck went airborne from a vacant lot and crashed onto the top of a home in Yorba Linda.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department said that a Dodge pickup truck landed on top of the home in the 5600 block of Lakeview Avenue over an unoccupied bedroom. The two adults in the truck — Donald Wall, 38, and Danielle Velazquez, 40, both of Yorba Linda — died at the scene. Three of the five people in the home were taken to a local hospital and the other two were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Sheriff’s Department investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash. A witness told investigators that the pickup truck may have run through a four-way stop sign.
